Empowering collaboration and innovation for sustainable futures.

Scattered Puzzle Pieces

About Us

SIRI is a transdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration initiative. We aim to synthesise knowledge and build competencies related to the transformation towards greener and more inclusive economies and societies.

Funded by Vinnova, Sweden’s innovation agency, the platform connects researchers, policymakers, and practitioners interested in the design and implementation of transformative innovation policies.

Our activities focus on networking, joint research initiatives, and knowledge exchange. We strive for a community where knowledge, ideas, and best practices can be developed and shared.

Collaboration Between Civil Society and Academia – How It Works

Civil society organizations are increasingly in demand as partners in research projects, while researchers are sought as collaborators in development projects addressing societal challenges.

This spring, Marie Cederschiöld University is offering a course on the interactions between civil society and academia, blending theoretical insights with practical examples. The course is relevant for those managing or supporting such collaborations, including:

  • Researchers and support staff at higher education institutions.

  • Civil servants at research funders, public organisations, and civil society organisations

For more details, visit the course’s page on Marie Cederschiöld University' website.
